Happy Cinco de Mayo ðŸĪ

The month just flew by! Here comes summer. I’m looking forward to some hot days.

I hope everyone is keeping up with their food plan and making adjustments as necessary. My orange tree in the backyard ran out of oranges. So, I cut out the oranges at lunchtime and increased my pineapple consumption. I’m also replacing my American cheese with raw cheddar cheese. I tried it today and it tastes a lot better. The chicken is still working out for me and the prices are amazing. My food costs have dropped by 50% after switching over to chicken instead of beef. I’m happy with the chicken, I think it’s delicious. I would recommend the chicken thighs and not the breasts. Big difference in taste.

The workouts are going strong. I’m getting stronger every workout since increasing my protein intake. It makes a big difference.

Keep pushing on and hope you have a great week!

Health is the Key to Happiness 🌞

The week is another beautiful time to be alive.

Every day is a gift, and you must take care of your health to enjoy life to your maximum potential. Your happiness should be based and your health and freedom.

This week flew by, and my food plan is better than ever. Remind me never to drop my protein because I started losing strength and muscle within a matter of weeks when I did. I’m not sure how vegetarians do it because if you like muscle and strength, you have to keep your protein intake high. It may be different for other people, but this is how it works for me.

I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

Hot and Cold ðŸĨĩðŸĨķ

Mother Nature can’t make up her mind with this weather 🌎 I’m ready for some spring, hopefully, we don’t just skip right to summer.

The food plan is going great now. I had to increase my protein because apparently when you drop that protein too low you start losing muscle and strength fast. I’m almost back to my pre-protein reduction status. But it definitely threw me off. At first, I thought it was due to my cardio. So, I reduced my cardio. However, I have been doing cardio every day for several months and I knew there had to be another factor. This is when I figured out it was my protein intake. When I picked my protein back up, my muscles started filling out again and I started getting stronger. I think it’s crazy that you can drop your carbs to zero and it has zero affect on your strength, energy, and muscle fullness, but if you drop your protein too low, things start changing dramatically.

My experience was a great example of how you need to experiment with your food intake to see what effect it has on your physique. You definitely want to eat for your health and for your own personal goals and preferences. Sometimes you may read information that gives you recommendations, but this might not be best for you.

Where's the Beef? ðŸĪ”

Another month down for 2022! This is a great month because the weather starts to transition and the days get longer.

My food plan is going strong. I’m loving every meal and feeling great. The workouts are going well. When I cut my cardio in half, I think that helped preserve the muscle. For a while there, I was getting a little too lean. I think it may have had to do with my protein intake being a little low as well. Because I thought I was getting 12 oz of chicken, but then when I weighed my chicken after cooking, it was more like 6 oz.

This just goes to show you how important it is to keep the protein levels up when trying to sustain muscle. I hope this month is amazing for you and keep going strong!
