Life is Fragile

I had a lot of stuff going on last week and some days I was not able to eat at home. If you're not able to eat your prepared meals and have to eat out at a restaurant, don't panic, just pick foods that are similar to food on your Chiropractic Lifestyle Food Plan.

One of my favorite go-to places for eating out is Chipotle. I will get a burrito bowl with cheese and salsa. If I'm near a Safeway I will grab some pre-made hard boiled eggs and some cheese sticks.

If you are stuck at the airport and want to eat healthy AND save some serious money, the little shops that sell nuts and magazines now offer food choices like the pre-made hard boiled eggs. You get 2 eggs for only $1.99. I get 6 eggs, so that's a full meal for only $5.97. Amazing deal for airport food!

You always have choices when eating out and you are not forced to eat junk food. Just be creative and even ask for food that's not on the menu. Almost every food place will have chicken, eggs, and rice.

Season of Change

Well, I got sick of eating hamburger all the time, so now I switched back to chicken. Eventually, I will change up my protein source again. My calories are looking a little low so I may add some rice with my chicken. I will see how I feel over the next couple of weeks.

Since my bodyfat is so low, I gauge adequate food intake by my strength levels. If I start feeling weak, then I know I need to increase my food supply. For me the biggest factor is protein. Since I do moderately heavy weight training, my muscles require more protein.

Fun in the Sun!

Wow, time sure goes by fast! I can't believe it's already May. The weather is starting to change and the sun is starting to warm up. It's almost time to hit the beach and go on some fun hikes.

When you exercise you should try to mix it up a little. Even getting outside and going on a fun bike ride is great exercise. Diversity is key for the best results and to help keep your sanity. As you can see, I mix up my routine all the time.
