Task Focus ðŸĪ“

The first month of the year is already gone like dust in the wind!

Time is moving along, and when you are focused on your goals and staying consistent with your required tasks, you will be successful in your efforts. The best way to accomplish a goal is to focus on one step or one task at a time. When you give all your energy into finishing a specific task, you will find that you can be more successful. At first, you may think it’s going to take forever to reach your goals but by staying focused and busy, time will pass and you will be closer to the finish line than ever before.

I had another great week sticking to the Chiropractic Lifestyle Food Plan with pleasure and satisfaction. I’ve been squeezing all my meals into about a 4-hour time frame. I prefer this time frame because it gives my stomach plenty of time to digest my food before I do some activities in the evening.

My workout plan is on track but I had a couple of upper body setbacks because of a chest injury. But, I took the required rest to heal my chest and I’m back at it. The only thing that has been challenging in the 40-plus years of working out is injuries. I have injured myself several times over the years from working out, doing my day job, and many other things. This always sucks because then I have to wait for my body to heal before I can be at 100% again.

I personally hate missing my workouts. At my age, if I rest too long I will decondition and get weak fast. It's an absolute requirement that I must stay active and continue my regular workouts in order to maintain mobility, spinal alignment, and strength. This is true for all people. It's not about vanity, it's all about sustainable optimal function as we age.

The number one reason why people end up in the hospital in the last years of their life is due to functional limitations, frailty, dementia, and caregiver exhaustion. Unfortunately, hospitals are used in an absence of a social support system. The best preventive strategy is exercise, healthy eating, and staying active.

I hope you all have another great week living the dream. Always be grateful for your health and do anything you must do to stay healthy. Health is the most important thing that you have in your life. It's the foundation for life experience.

Alive & Kicking 🙌

Back in action! This year is kicking off and time to bring in good times and new experiences. Time goes by super-fast, and before you know it this year will be gone with the wind.

The switch over to beef with the food plan has been awesome. A lot easier to cook and I love the flavor. Unfortunately, beef is ridiculously expensive, so I’m trying to catch all the sales. Eggs have also significantly gone up in price. I might have to get another part-time job to compensate for these outrageous food prices.

My workout plan is going smoothly and I feel strong and healthy.

If you are celebrating Lunar New Year this weekend, I hope you have fun. Otherwise, have a great week.

Batten Down the Hatches ☔

If you are suffering from the effects of the recent storm, I hope you are safe and have the necessary support. I know the people in Santa Cruz County have been devastated. We definitely needed the rain but not all at once. The cleanup will take a long time and some roads are closed indefinitely. This storm is comparable to the great storm of 1982. However, that storm was worse.

Otherwise, for the lucky people who weren’t impacted, keep pushing forward into this new year. Stay focused and determined to reach the goals that you desire. If you have a bad day, just let it go and stick to the plan. One day will not sabotage your efforts.

The food plan is better than ever and beef seems to digest better for me than chicken. I also notice that I feel fuller for longer with beef. It might just be psychological but I do notice a difference.

I am sticking with the regular exercise plan and doing my cardio separately from my weight training times. I think has given me more energy for my workouts.

Consistency is Key 🗝️

The new year for a new you! This year is going to be the best year of your life. I hope you have all your yearly goals figured out and are on your way to success. You have to keep yourself accountable and follow the plan you have created for yourself to reach your goals.

If you are trying to get your health back on track, have no fear I’ve got your back. My plan is super simple, easy to follow, and works for everyone. The hardest part is consistency for many people.

Health is an accumulation of all your habits over a period of time. You will have good health if you have more good habits than bad ones. I try to take the mystery out of it by giving you a simple plan to follow all year. To prove it works, I do the plan myself and report the outcomes on a regular basis.

Rigorous outcome research is vital to prove the efficacy of any type of intervention. This means that to determine if something is effective in the long run, you have to study the person or group of people over a long period of time. This is because some interventional plans may wane over time and prove to be flawed or ineffective.

Take advantage of my sacrifice and willingness to do whatever needs to be done to help humanity. You can learn from my mistakes and successes. The only unique thing about me is that I have self-discipline. You can have this too by being accountable for your life and your health.
