Summer Surf 🏄

Happy Summer! 🌝

Wow, with the 4th of July around the corner, it sure is feeling a lot like summer. The mornings have been so warm. I like it when it’s not 29 degrees when I wake up to go work out every day at 5 am. I really miss the weather in Hawaii. Over there the temperature was always 74 to about 83 degrees every single day and night. It was a perfect balance between heat, dryness, and humidity.

The food plan has been going awesome and the workouts are stronger than ever. I would like to get outside and go to the beach more this summer. Hopefully, I can catch a swell or two and go surfing. Paddle boarding is another sport I want to try and you don’t need any waves for that one.

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water in this heat. If you start feeling fatigued it could be signs of dehydration.

Happy Father's Day 🧓

Fun in the sun on this amazing Father’s Day ðŸŒ

If your dad is still alive show him your love and appreciation by giving him your time and attention. Never take your family for granted. People you love are often missed the most when they are gone. Every day is a gift and life is precious.

I’m sustaining the Chiropractic Lifestyle by starting my day in the gym with cardio and weight training. Then I fuel my body throughout the day with healthy food and nutrition. I also make sure I get outside and enjoy the sunshine which is the best source of vitamin D.

Next week I’m due for my bimonthly spinal adjustment to help me maintain spinal mobility and normal movement. If your spine stops moving normally this will predispose you to injury, loss of function, and arthritis.

The Chiropractic Lifestyle motto is Mobility, Alignment, & Strength (MAS). These three factors keep your spine healthy and foster a long and healthy life. I am living proof that living your life this way is optimal and sustainable.

Enjoy your week and live every day with passion and enthusiasm.

Sand Between the Toes 🏖️

I hope everyone had an amazing week living the Chiropractic Lifestyle like myself. I’m sticking to the food plan, workout plan, and spine care plan. Nothing to it but to do it!

With all this beautiful weather you can be creative in how you stay active and do your exercise by getting outside and going on some hikes. A day at the beach walking along the sand would be a great plan. Just keep moving and enjoy your life. If you are going to Santa Cruz, make sure you leave early, otherwise, you will be stuck in traffic going over the hill.

If you are out and about and it’s meal time, just remember to follow your food plan outline and you will be fine. This is why I like to eat all my food in the earlier part of the day so that I don’t have to make decisions about eating later on. My lunchtime is a simple solution if I’m not at home because I can find a source of protein and fat at almost any place serving food.

Another issue you may be dealing with is drinking alcohol. I personally never drink but if you like to have a few beers or cocktails then eat, drink, and be happy. Just don’t do it every day or too often.

Enjoy your week and be grateful for every day.

Summertime Boogie 🌞

Summertime has finally arrived! Time to hit the beach and enjoy the sun ðŸŒž I was thinking of getting back into surfing, but my conundrum is what should I do with my keys? I obviously can’t take them into the water and hiding them is risky ðŸĪ”

The Chiropractic food plan is going strong and I’m loving it. I definitely see and feel a difference in keeping my protein levels higher. I also don’t feel any difference after dropping my carbs really low.

Some people have told me that they feel low energy or they think low carbs will give them low blood sugar or hypoglycemia if they don't eat enough carbs. I have not experienced this, in fact, my energy levels are constant throughout the day. I think people need to experiment with what works best for them. The science of physiology is important to understand, however, you must consider the personal experience and individual genetic differences.

I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy the weekend. I'm sure there are going to be a lot of people out and about having fun in the sun, especially with all the new college graduates ðŸ˜ðŸ™ŒðŸ§‘‍🎓
