Summer Rain ☔

Crazy Cali weather!

Last week was amazing! Staying fit and healthy has never been so easy. Prevention and health maintenance is the hardest concept to teach. Most people are reactive in nature, meaning that they only take action in response to a crisis. This approach to health is dangerous and costly. It is a lot easier to maintain health than it is trying to get it back.

A great example is dental care. Do you only brush and floss your teeth when they hurt? Of course not! Brushing and flossing is a regular healthy habit in efforts to prevent tooth decay and dental pain. It's a whole lot easier maintaining dental health than trying to fix a problem once the symptoms begin. Most times symptoms don't even show up until major damage has been done.

This is exactly true with spine care. If you let your spine pull out of alignment and get stiff and rigid this eventually leads to symptoms. By the time you start feeling symptoms you already have degeneration and decay. However, if you would've had a maintenance mindset and gotten regular adjustments and exercise, you could've avoided the pain, suffering, and loss of function.

Same is true with healthy eating. A typical person only changes their food choices when they start having symptoms like diabetes, high blood pressure, and fatigue. Unfortunately, a lot of people still don't change their diet and depend on a medical solution to a dietary problem.

So to be healthy and stay healthy, it takes consistent continuous effort every day. The good news is when you live the Chiropractic Lifestyle you have the recipe for healthy living.
