Nothing to it, But to do it! 🌞

I guess mother nature was listening and turned up the heat 🔥

I hope everyone had an amazing week and you are enjoying this beautiful weather. This is a great time to get a lot of your exercise done outside. Even if you just go on a fun hike, this would be great for your body and mind. I know some gyms have equipment outside, so you can even do your resistance training outdoors. It’s important to not only do cardiovascular activities to keep your lungs, heart, blood vessels, and lymphatic system healthy, but resistance training keeps your muscles strong, your bones strong, and your spine in alignment.

The Chiropractic Lifestyle Food Plan is going strong and today marks 7 straight weeks with no deviation from the food plan. I was already lean, to begin with, but typically after about 7 weeks of strict adherence to the plan, I’m noticing a significant reduction in body fat and an increase in vascularity. My strength is actually going up and I’m recovering from my workouts more efficiently.

My spine care plan is keeping my spine healthy with regular mobility exercises, postural exercises, core strengthening, stretching, and standing as much as possible throughout the day.

Like I always say, the key to success is consistency. All you have to do is follow the plan and you will be healthy. It’s the little things that you do which add up to positive long-term outcomes. Your future self will love you for what you are doing now on a daily basis.

Living the Dream 💨

Does anyone know why it is still so cold? This is really weird for this area. Usually, by this time we are in at least the 70s every day. I know soon we will have hot weather but it’s strange that it’s still so cold every day.

The Chiropractic Lifestyle food plan is amazing! I love getting my biggest meal of the day in first thing in the morning. This gives my digestive system plenty of time to break up all the macros to fuel my body for the day. Getting all your food in early frees up more time in the afternoon and evening for fun activities. Unfortunately, a lot of people treat food as entertainment instead of just fuel for the body. This is most likely why 86% of the American population is overweight. I agree that sometimes food can be an exciting experience. But this should be done occasionally and not daily.

The Chiropractic Lifestyle workout plan is going strong and consistent. My muscles are feeling strong and my body is functioning at peak capacity. You would think at my age, I would be feeling weak and tired all the time. But for me, I feel the energy all day long and I constantly have to remind myself that I’m not 25 years old anymore.

I correlate how I feel and function directly with my Chiropractic Lifestyle. Because about 14 years ago, I did let myself go. I ate anything I wanted but I was still working out 6-7 days a week. However, I still tipped the scales at 265lbs, and medically I had high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, early stages of fatty liver disease, and some other health issues. It was after a visit to my doctor that I made a promise and a commitment to myself to change my lifestyle.

Well, I kept that promise and now I’m still living that healthy life. This really works and will literally save your life.

Quality Life 💐

Sleep, eat, work, exercise, and repeat. This routine makes up a typical person’s lifestyle. The lifestyle you chose dictates the quality of your life. The quality of your health is a direct reflection of how you eat, exercise, and maintain spinal mobility.

Spinal mobility is often the factor people neglect. Most people spend their lives sitting all day doing their work to make money. Making money is vital to provide the things we need to do the things we want. However, if you don’t make time for your spine health then all the money in the world will not be able to compensate for your poor health.

Staying healthy begins with simply moving your body in all planes of movement on a daily basis. Your spine is the core of all movement. This is why spinal mobility is so vital for normal movement and function in your body. Every muscle in your body is dependent on leverage from the spine. Even just lifting your arm necessitates a strong and mobile spine. Building on a foundation of stabilization and spinal mobility facilitates optimal movement and function in all your daily activities.

When you add in a healthy diet, this builds on your core and provides the building blocks for repair and growth. Food is the raw material that provides the ingredients for sustainable function and optimal performance.

The Chiropractic Lifestyle incorporates all the necessary elements of health to provide you with a plan that works. This has been working for me for over 23 years, and I will continue to inspire, motivate, and coach people to live a life that fosters optimal health.

Happy April 🐰

I hope everyone had a great week living the dream and staying healthy. The foundation for a happy and successful life is your health. When you focus on yourself and make sacrifices to ensure the longevity and sustainability of your health, this sets the stage for optimal conditions in all areas of your life.

The food plan is working well for me. I’m experimenting with how long I can go without having any snacks or “cheat days”. In the past, I would indulge in some snacking on the weekends. But lately, I have decided to cut that out for a while. So far, so good.

The exercise plan is steady and consistent. My legs seem to be getting stronger every month. I’ve been gradually adding more weight to my squat and I’m almost to the point where I feel good about my max working set.

My spine care is on point, which is keeping my spine in alignment and strong.

March Madness 🔥

Last week was tough for me. I came down with a cold and when I get sick, my appetite is nonexistent. I still forced down my necessary nutrition each day, but it was rough. I’m finally feeling normal again this week.

No major changes to the food plan this week. I went with a bottom-round cut of beef this week, I’m not a fan. This type of beef is dry with no flavor. I would not recommend it. I think by far my favorite cut is Tri-tip. Tri-tip can be a little chewy but always juicy.

My exercise plan is still on track. I’m feeling stronger and more flexible. I’m also getting a little leaner but still staying strong.

I hope everyone enjoys the last week of March. Watch out for Saturday. Don’t fall for any April fools’ jokes.

Day In & Day Out, That's What it's all about 🤠

I hope everyone had a great week!

I’ve been sticking to the plan and living the Chiropractic Lifestyle. The hardest part about living this life for other people is staying consistent. If you want results you have to be disciplined and follow the plan on a regular basis. If you experience a few days where you fall off the wagon, then pick yourself up and jump back on. A few days will not sabotage your whole plan. Just start over the next day. Eventually, your lifestyle will begin to be the new normal.

The workout plan is going strong. I find it is best to split up your workouts into different body parts. This would be done over a 4-day cycle. The first day you start with chest, back the next day, then arms/shoulders, and finally legs/calves. This split allows each muscle group to get stimulated at least twice per week.

Cardio could be done every day or a few times per week if you are doing interval training. I actually like to participate in a fun activity that stimulates my cardiovascular system. I tried the daily stair master cardio plan for over a year and I definitely got burnt out. The key is to make cardio fun by playing a sport.

Enjoy your week and keep pushing forward toward your goals.

It's Raining, It's Pouring, The Old Man is Snoring ☔

Rainy days are perfect for an indoor workout. So go to the gym and train those muscles. 💪🏼

Every day you must find a way to move your body. Motion is like lotion for your muscles and joints. Immobility is the root cause of joint arthritis (osteoarthritis). In fact, if you were to immobilize any of your joints, after only 2 weeks, early signs of arthritis will be seen on an x-ray. If you don’t move it, you literally lose it!

Unfortunately, the spine is most susceptible to degenerative arthritis due to the number of facet joints in the spine. Any one, or several facet joints, may lose normal movement due to previous injury, inflammation, sitting too much, or having poor lifting technique in the gym.

Most people may not even realize they have a facet mobility problem. The problem is when you move bend forward or twist side-to-side, you may be able to do this, but this doesn’t mean that all of your facet joints are moving normally. Some facet joints may be compensating for other facet joints which are not moving. If you don’t catch this early, those facet joints will start to degenerate and eventually permanently fuse together.

A key component in spine care is locating and correcting facet joints that have lost their normal range of motion. When you restore normal facet movement, then you can move in all planes of motion normally without compensation.

This is why I always emphasize that you must take care of your spine before it starts to hurt. Pain is usually the last thing that shows up. Being proactive with your spine care is critical to prevent degenerative arthritic conditions in the future. If you don’t take care of your spine, you are the one who will suffer the consequences of neglect.

Happy 10 Year Anniversary 🥳

It has officially been 10 years since I started teaching, training, and practicing the Chiropractic Lifestyle 😳

If you go back to the beginning, you will notice I have changed the food plan a lot. But the concept has always been the same. The most salient aspect of the Chiropractic Lifestyle Food Plan is to always consume a diet that is about 80 to 90% protein and fat, and the rest makes up carbohydrates.

High carbohydrate, or sugar consumption, leads to diabetes, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, and many other problems. You actually don’t even need to consume carbohydrates. Your body really only needs protein and fat to survive and thrive. If you do need carbs, I only recommend fruit and honey.

The Chiropractic Lifestyle Exercise Plan is unique for each individual. The main idea is to keep your body in motion on a daily basis. There are all sorts of exercises that you can do, and you need to experiment with different programs that fit your lifestyle and personal goals. In my office, I work with people and help them figure out the best plan.

The Chiropractic Lifestyle Spine Care Plan is similar to the exercise plan. You either keep your spine mobile and in alignment, or you will lose mobility and normal function. Every movement your body performs depends on a mobile spine.

Most people only take care of their spine when it hurts. But by then it may be too late. If you let your spine pull out of alignment and get stiff, you will get arthritis and lose normal function. Remember, functional disabilities are the number one cause of pain, suffering, and dependency when you get older. So, do your future self a favor and be regular with your spine care and exercise.

Well, here’s to another 10 years of living, teaching, and helping people with the Chiropractic Lifestyle 🙌 It’s really simple and the only hard part is following my instructions.

New Beginnings 🥰

Every day you wake up is a new beginning. You are given the gift of life each day and you have the opportunity to create the life that you want. Don’t let the past sabotage the present. You can make this day the best day of your life. The most important part of every day is waking up. When you open your eyes each morning it’s a gift of life. Take advantage of this and be grateful for just being alive another day. If you cherish life, all your other problems seem minuscule in comparison.

Living life and staying healthy can be really simple. No one is born with directions for living or how to live life with the best health. We literally have to experiment to figure out what is the best food and the best lifestyle to live a long and healthy life.

I can’t tell you how to live your life, but I can continue to share my trials and tribulations on what has worked for me in my journey to help and motivate people to be and stay healthy.

The Chiropractic Lifestyle plan will not make you superhuman, but it can help you maintain optimal health for life.

Love Yourself ❤️

Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s time to wine and dine your valentine. Hopefully, you have someone special to spend time with today, and you can share the love and happiness you feel.

This is a perfect day to show yourself some love. Love and respect your body by giving it the healthy food it deserves and the daily exercise it needs to stay healthy.

The food plan is going strong. They had Rib Eyes on sale this week. This is a delicious cut of meat. The extra fat gives the meat a lot of flavors and keeps it tender. I have also been enjoying some pasture-raised eggs. I prefer eggs from hens that are allowed to freely roam around outside and eat their natural diet. Chickens are not vegetarians but most factory-raised chickens are fed a vegetarian diet. This is why yolks from factory chickens look pale with a light yellow tinge. You know you are getting a good egg when the yolk is bright fluorescent orange.

The exercise plan is going great. I hit a new personal record with my squats the other day. I’m rehabbing my chest injury and I’m feeling better and stronger every day.

Have a great week and try not to freeze to death.

Steak & Eggs 🐓

I hope everyone had a great week living the Chiropractic Lifestyle!

The egg prices have been ridiculous for no good reason. I wish I had a yard or an area to have chickens. The best thing would be to have your own farm with chickens, cows, and fruit trees. This would provide everything you need for sustainable healthy food.

My exercise plan has been going well. I’m getting stronger and recovering from some minor injuries. I’m noticing a reduction in people's volume at the gym as the new year’s resolutionists are losing steam.

Enjoy your week and keep on moving forward!
